Baltimore, a city celebrated for its wealth of musical talent, has long been a breeding ground for bands that have achieved international acclaim. This vibrant local scene is not only known for its successful breakout artists but also for a strong collaborative spirit and innovative creativity.

Drums of Life – an improvisational project led by notable Baltimore percussionists—Mike Lowry (Future Islands, Big In Japan, Lake Trout), David Bergander (Celebration), and Mike Kuhl (Beach House, Tom Tom Club, The Raveonettes)—embodies this spirit of collaboration. On Thursday April 25th, these artists will be joined on stage by an impressive lineup of local musicians, each bringing their unique talent to the performance. The guest artists include Katrina Ford (Celebration), Ami Dang (amazing sitarist and vocalist who recently toured with Beach House), Dave Heumann (Arbouretum + tons of other bands), Steve Strohmeier (Beach House, Midnight Sun), and Jason Willett (Half Japanese, True Vine Records). Kicking off the evening will be the renowned musician, DJ, and activist Amy Reid (Chiffon, GRL PWR), setting the stage for an unforgettable show.
